Our story began in 2007, when I first started experimenting with different spice blends.

What started as an experiment in my own kitchen quickly turned into a passion. This gave rise to the idea of not only enjoying these special blends at home with my family, but also offering them in the Salzkammergut region and throughout Austria.

My first enthusiastic “customers” were actually my children. They loved the organic spice blends from the very beginning. Even today, although they no longer sit at the family table as often as they used to, they still rave about the blends. From the very beginning, our family was the biggest fan and at the same time the strictest critic of EchtNatur.

I believe that it is precisely this close connection to our own family and our attention to detail that make for good products. Success comes naturally when you are passionate about what you do. For us, that passion is for good, natural food.

Why did I consciously choose natural salt? For me, it's more than just a question of taste. Natural salt is fundamentally different from the industrially produced salt we know from supermarket shelves. It is not chemically treated and remains in its original, natural form. This purity and naturalness are particularly important to me—not only for myself, but also for my family. Our region offers the ideal place to experience the extraction of natural salt up close: Hallstatt. Only about 30 minutes away from here, you can observe traditional salt mining and experience firsthand how salt is extracted from the mountain.

I am really happy that so many people now appreciate our EchtNatur spice blends as much as I do. Our spice blends are not just products – they are the result of our love of good food. It's nice to see that we are not alone in this passion and that more and more people are choosing natural and authentic regional ingredients.

For me, this is a small sign that we are on the right track together. 

I am also delighted that I can now entrust the operational side of my business to Hannah, who loved helping with salt production even as a little girl.
